My Story

I got into photography while I was living in Saskatchewan. When I first started, I wanted to photograph landscapes, and that is what I focused on for a long time. I loved the way a fully bloomed field looked: the yellow canola, the vibrant purple of flax.

Once I moved to Edmonton, I started with my own kids — I wanted to make sure we captured memories for ourselves and for them when they were older. As an adult myself, I love looking back on old photos of my family and the adventures we went on.

I started working at a photography company on the editing side of things, and that is what really helped me fall in love with the industry. My family and friends began asking me to photograph their weddings and families, and I have just grown since then.

What I Love to Capture

I love photographing for the joy of finding those in-between moments that aren’t posed — the ones that can make you feel that emotion through the lens. The ones where you can relive the moment.

My style is relaxed, fun, and exactly that: capturing those go-with-the-flow moments, the in-between, that can show you and your family’s dynamic. Of course we want to get those posed shots, but some of the unplanned, in-between moments can be some of the best pictures to look back on. I want my clients to feel like they can be themselves.
